Aglow Cup 2026 Combines Padel, Wellness and Breast Cancer Awareness to Empower Women

Founded by breast cancer survivor Dr. Amelia Siah, the initiative brings women together through sport, health education and community support.

In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Aglow Clinic introduces Aglow Cup 2026, a women-focused initiative that brings together padel, wellness and breast cancer awareness to encourage women to prioritise their health and support one another.

Held on 10 October 2026 at Pop Padel, Bamboo Hills, Kuala Lumpur, the event combines a women’s padel competition with wellness activities, health education and interactive experiences. Positioned as Malaysia’s first women’s padel initiative led by an aesthetic clinic, Aglow Cup aims to create a platform where sport and community engagement can contribute to more meaningful conversations about women’s health.

Beyond the competition, the initiative carries a personal significance for Aglow Clinic’s Founder, CEO and Aesthetic Doctor, Dr. Amelia Siah, whose own experience with breast cancer inspired her commitment to raising awareness and encouraging women to take a more proactive approach to their wellbeing.

From Breast Cancer Survivor to Advocate for Women’s Health

For Dr. Amelia Siah, breast cancer awareness is more than a cause to champion. It is a deeply personal journey that has shaped her perspective on health, family and resilience.

In 2020, while preparing to open Aglow Clinic and embarking on a new chapter in her career, Dr. Amelia discovered a lump in her breast just months after giving birth to her first child. What initially appeared to be a small lump was subsequently diagnosed as breast cancer.

The diagnosis arrived during a particularly significant period of her life. As a new mother building her own business, she suddenly had to navigate the demands of motherhood, her professional ambitions and an intensive cancer treatment journey.

Her treatment involved 16 cycles of chemotherapy, surgery, 20 sessions of radiotherapy and oral medication. Along the way, she experienced the physical exhaustion, emotional challenges and uncertainty that can accompany a cancer diagnosis. Through it all, her daughter and family remained important sources of strength.

After approximately one and a half years of treatment, Dr. Amelia was declared cancer-free.

Her experience transformed the way she viewed health, reinforcing the importance of paying attention to changes in the body, seeking appropriate medical advice and making health a priority rather than waiting for a problem to arise.

Today, she uses her journey to encourage more women to become familiar with their bodies, learn about breast health and understand the importance of regular health screenings.

Turning a Personal Journey into a Community Initiative

Inspired by her own experience, Dr. Amelia established Aglow Cup as a way to bring women together through a shared interest in sport and wellness while creating opportunities for conversations about breast cancer awareness.

Rather than focusing solely on athletic competition, the initiative seeks to make women’s health part of a broader community experience, encouraging participants to connect, learn and support one another.

For Dr. Amelia, even small steps towards better health can make a meaningful difference.

“Aglow Cup is not just about playing padel. It is about bringing women together through sport and wellness, while creating space for an important conversation about our health. As a breast cancer survivor, I understand how important it is for us to know our own bodies and take our health seriously.”

She also hopes the initiative will remind women not to put their wellbeing aside amid the demands of everyday life.

“Sometimes, it starts with something as simple as staying active, having a conversation about our health or going for a health check-up.”

Through Aglow Cup, the clinic hopes to create a more supportive environment where women can prioritise their wellbeing while building connections with others who share similar interests and values.

More Than Just Padel: A Holistic Approach to Women’s Wellness

Aglow Cup 2026 brings together a variety of activities designed to encourage movement, recovery and greater awareness of women’s health.

At the centre of the event is the women’s padel competition, which features a total prize pool of RM50,000. The competition offers participants an opportunity to challenge themselves through sport while becoming part of a community built around women’s empowerment and wellbeing.

Beyond the courts, attendees can participate in wellness sessions, including Pilates and Core & Mobility classes, alongside the Spinalive Recovery Massage experience. Interactive games and additional wellness activities provide further opportunities for guests to engage with the event.

Health education is another key component of the initiative. In collaboration with the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA), Aglow Cup features Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) and breast self-examination education to help participants develop a better understanding of breast health.

By incorporating these educational elements into a sporting and wellness event, Aglow aims to make conversations about breast cancer awareness more approachable while encouraging women to seek appropriate health information and screenings.

The combination of physical activity, recovery experiences and health education reflects the event’s broader objective: to encourage women to view wellbeing as an ongoing commitment that encompasses both physical health and awareness.

Supporting the Breast Cancer Community Through Charity

Beyond raising awareness, Aglow Cup 2026 also places an emphasis on giving back to the breast cancer community.

Aglow Clinic has committed to channel 100% of charity proceeds from the event to the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA). The contribution will support BCWA’s efforts in breast cancer awareness, education and assistance for communities affected by the disease.

The collaboration also provides an opportunity for participants to learn more about breast health through clinical breast examination and breast self-examination education.

By combining fundraising with accessible health education, the initiative seeks to extend its impact beyond the event itself, supporting a wider community affected by breast cancer.

For Aglow Clinic, this commitment reflects the belief that meaningful wellness initiatives should go beyond individual experiences and contribute to a more informed and supportive community.

Redefining Wellness Through Movement, Awareness and Connection

Aglow Cup 2026 represents Aglow Clinic’s efforts to extend its commitment to wellbeing beyond beauty and skincare, bringing together sport, health education and community engagement through a single initiative.

With Dr. Amelia Siah’s personal journey at its heart, the event highlights the importance of making time for one’s health, building supportive relationships and creating opportunities for women to learn about their wellbeing in an encouraging environment.

As Breast Cancer Awareness Month continues to spotlight the importance of early awareness and appropriate screening, initiatives such as Aglow Cup serve as a reminder that conversations about health can take place in everyday settings, including on the padel court.

Ultimately, Aglow Cup is about more than winning a competition. It is about encouraging women to move, connect and take meaningful steps towards caring for themselves and one another.
